Rapp Ranch Vineyards
Farming Practices
Tucked away in the heart of Napa’s newest appellation of Coombsville lays the beautiful Rapp Ranch Vineyard. These 12 acres of premium vineyard were planted in 2002 to an array of five different Cabernet Sauvignon clones. The distinctive rocky-mineral rich soil and microclimate of cool coastal breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay result in low yield production yet intensely complex fruit which best showcases the perfect balance of a challenging topography and a mild climate. The variation in flavor, acidity, tannins, and density profiles of the grapes makes it some of the most unique and sought after fruit. The team strives to farm for consistency throughout the ranch while simultaneously focusing on the diversity among the five distinct Cabernet clones. Our ultra premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes reflect the intensity of this varietal while maintaining a classic delicacy and finesse.
